Foreign tourist figures continue to rise in the Costa del Sol

The September tourist frontier movement figures published in the government´s Frontur report show an 11.6 per cent increase in foreign tourists visiting Andalucia. This was the greatest increase in the whole of Spain, except for the Canary Islands where foreign visitors increased by 20 per cent in September. Most of the visitors to Andalucia (28 per cent) were British and their numbers were up 11.4 per cent on September last year.
This was the sixth consecutive month of growing visitor numbers for the region, which received 822,000 international tourists in September; 167,000 more than the previous year.
